Summer Opportunities
Suzuki Institute
The Heights Violin Studio highly encourages families to attend a Suzuki Institute over the summer. A Suzuki Institute is a week long camp offered in many different cities across the state. Families have the opportunities to work with world-class Suzuki clinicians in private lessons, group classes, masterclasses, enrichment classes, and parent education, and meet many families from all over the country! Suzuki Institutes welcomes students of all ages and levels, including toddlers for their early childhood programs. Click here for this year’s calendar.
Scholarships are available through Suzuki Association of the Americas and STXSA.
Fiddler’s Fair
Fiddler’s Fair is a week-long day camp in Houston, lead by Suzuki teachers across the city. It provides private lessons, masterclasses, and group classes each day, and the camp ends with a group performance for families. It welcomes students from Kindergarteners to 5th grader as campers and 6th graders to 12th graders as helpers. Please check back later for the 2019 information.
AFA Summer Festival
AFA is a music program that provides education all year round. The two-week long summer festival offers orchestra, chamber music, music theory, ear training, class piano, and performance opportunities. Students must be in third grade or up. Auditions are held in April.
